Content migration schedule

The migration of the University of Bristol web content will take place over a number of phases, named as Phase 1.1, Phase 1.2, Phase 2 and Phase 3. An initial indication of sites within each phase of migration has now been compiled from the UXD (user experience) prototype, and has been presented to IT Services to enable them to work on projected development timescales.  This list will now be scaled up to include sections that were not included within the prototype, but will need to be migrated.  This will also help to identify when we need to engage with relevant departments and faculties.

Hardware and installation

The relevant hardware for the T4 CMS has arrived and is awaiting configuration by IT Services. This is likely to be completed within two weeks.

Technical development

The ‘Architecture Group’ has been established and has met several times. This is a subset of the wider T4 development team in IT Services, and is looking at key areas of how the T4 CMS will be built and integrated with current systems. The group is currently working on an estimated timeframe to develop the components required to deliver Phase 1.1 and 1.2 content migration.

Project management

We welcome Sarah Agarwal to the CMS Project team. Sarah will be taking over as the CMS Project Manager from 7 February.
